1HMX Unveils Nexus NX1, a Fully Immersive Human-Machine Interface for the Age of Humanoids and Embodied AI

1HMX, a global leader in human-machine experience technologies, has introduced the Nexus NX1—a fully integrated, whole-body interface designed to bring natural human control, ultra-realistic training, and next-generation teleoperation to robots and virtual environments.

Announced in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, the Nexus NX1 represents the first turnkey system that merges precise motion capture, lifelike haptics, and intuitive locomotion into a single platform. It combines HaptX Gloves G1 for tactile and force feedback, the Virtuix Omni One for 360-degree movement, Freeaim’s robotic shoes for natural walking, and 72 degrees of freedom of full-body and hand tracking. A comprehensive SDK ties these components together for seamless integration with robotics, VR simulation, and embodied AI.

“With Nexus NX1, we’ve created an entirely new class of product—one that will define how humans interact with humanoid robots and immersive digital worlds,” said Joe Baddeley, CEO of 1HMX. “This system captures the essence of our mission: to deliver seamless, innovative, intuitive human-machine experiences.”

By offering real-time sensory feedback while simultaneously capturing rich motion, force, and locomotion data, Nexus NX1 enables exceptionally precise robotic teleoperation and advanced AI training pipelines. The platform collects sub-millimeter-accurate full-body mocap, finger-level tactile displacement data, center-of-mass tracking, detailed skeletal and soft-tissue models, and high-fidelity walking parameters—creating one of the most complete human-in-the-loop datasets available today.

“For more than a decade I’ve worked toward creating a fully realistic full-body simulation system,” said Jake Rubin, President of Immersive Technologies at 1HMX. “Nexus NX1 is a major leap toward blurring the line between physical and digital experience.”

The system is designed for industries where realism and precision matter: manufacturing, defense, medicine, research, and increasingly, humanoid robot operations. Multi-user networking allows teams to work together in highly immersive shared environments, each represented by full-body avatars driven by real human movement and touch.

“Nexus NX1 is transformative not just for today’s workforce but for the robotic workforce emerging alongside it,” said Joe Michaels, Senior Global Vice President at 1HMX. “By extending HaptX’s best-in-class touch feedback into a complete whole-body system, we’re giving customers the tools they need to solve some of the toughest labor challenges.”

Pre-orders for Nexus NX1 are now open, with shipments beginning in Q2 2026. More information, including detailed specifications, is available at 1HMX.com/Nexus.
