The ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) is the leading global forum for research and innovation in how humans and robots interact. Jointly sponsored by ACM SIGCHI, ACM SIGAI, and the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, HRI brings together experts across robotics, AI, human-computer interaction, psychology, design, engineering, and the social and behavioral sciences.
The 2026 conference centers on HRI Empowering Society—exploring how robots can be responsibly integrated into daily life and work. This year’s program focuses on two critical challenges:
Ethical and equitable deployment of robots in sectors such as healthcare, transportation, remote work, agriculture, and industry; and
Accessible and inclusive design that enables widespread adoption, usability, and public trust.
HRI 2026 invites contributions that advance human-centered, socially aware, and societally beneficial robotics.
