HANNOVER MESSE will return from 20 to 24 April 2026, once again positioning itself as the world’s leading trade fair for industrial transformation. The event spans key technologies in automation, digitalization, energy systems, and R&D.

A major highlight is the Research & Technology Transfer cluster in Hall 11, featuring universities, research institutions, startups, and innovators presenting new concepts, prototypes, and market-ready solutions. The area is organized around two themes: Research & Innovation Transfer and Startups, showcasing advances in AI, bionics, intelligent materials, quantum technology, nanotechnology, and more—with direct links to adjacent topics like additive manufacturing, hydrogen, lightweight design, and robotics.

Exhibitors include organizations such as the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, DFKI, KIT, Technical University Berlin, Bayern Innovativ, and the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

“Breakthroughs in areas like artificial intelligence, collaborative robotics, and ultra-lightweight materials demonstrate how essential research and development have become to modern manufacturing,” said Iris Moser, project director for research and technology transfer at HANNOVER MESSE. “Hall 11 offers companies, policymakers, investors, and media a central place to explore these innovations and connect with partners ready to bring them into real-world production.”
